Photoshop CS5 is one of the world’s most used software and it is the one software, which is used by each type of designer. Especially graphic designers, they use this software for every work. Photoshop is not just and photo editing software but it is the software which is capable of designing the print and web also. Today, Photoshop have become so much powerful that if you want then you can do any type of designing with this software.
Photoshop CS5 is the latest version of Photoshop till date and it very powerful web builder application. Each graphic designer uses Photoshop to generate the web pages. Designing the web sounds like a hard task if you are very dependent on the programming language but if you are using Photoshop then the hard task becomes much easier.
Designing the background of a website in Photoshop is an easy task as the latest version has made it more playful.
Starting with selecting the type of background design you want, if you want a single small image to repeat over again and again then this is what you have to do –
1. Create a image you want to repeat in background, make it a “GIF” image and adjust the colors accordingly.
2. Go to File – Save for Web & Devices
3. Got to “Optimize Menu” on the right top of the dialogue box appeared and click on “edit output setting”.
4. Make the “settings” to “background image” from drop down menu and click “save/ok”.
5. Now you can click on the preview button and look how that image repeats itself to make a full filed background.
If you want a single image non-repetitive background then make the image according to the size of you background and rest remains the same.
If you want an whole pattern background then that is something you have to do more work for. You have to design something which will good and will not be breaking on extending and compressing the browser window. This case is similar to first one but you final result should not be showing the repetition of image actually it will repeat an image but it should not be visible. This type of background totally depends on your designing, you have to design in such a way that if image repeats itself then it shouldn’t look like that.
