Going for an job interview for the post of Graphic Designer?

One thing you should keep in mind that interviews for the post of graphic designer uses to be too much different from rest all of interviews. That is not because of high position or salary but that is because to inspect the creativity level and to check the hand over the graphic designing tools.

I am not telling you that you will be going through an very difficult test of your life but you should keep few important points in your mind while interviewing yourself for the post of graphic designer. One thing which will be in common with other type of interviews will be questioning, you have face each and every question put on you very bravely and have to answer everyone with best of your knowledge.

One of the most important thing you should keep in mind is that do not write any thing in your resume of which you don’t have any knowledge. Suppose if you have added something fake in your resume or something about which you didn’t have any knowledge and interviewer has asked question related to that only, then what will you do?… The only impression interviewer will get about you will be a big negative one.

Another stage of your interview could be a practical one. Interviewer/Examiner could ask you to design something on the spot under a given time period. Most of the companies uses to have this type of tests and others uses to have their own criteria of selection. The examiner will ask you to design within your designing capabilities and that will be decided from your resume. So be very careful while adding anything in your resume. Give your best in this test as this will be deciding your interview result. Verbal words in field of Graphic Designing doesn’t stands anywhere but you have to be able to do everything you claimed in your resume in practical. No matter if the test is on Photoshop or Flash, just give your lifetime best shot and no one will stop you to get that job.
